These talismans in the background are composed of stylized star-diagrams and talismanic script. They mean to protect and bring good fortune. The lines and curves look divine, but it is in fact created out from an imaginary earthy hand with an urge to search for a mean to ease the fear of the unknown future.

The armillary sphere and terrestrial globe are placed with the ancient Chinese diagram illustrating the evolution of the five phases of the sky and 28 constellations in the background. These astronomic objects sometime are used as a means for mankind to study the astrological unknown and destiny.

The diamond dust haloes of the figures are adorned with the names of the Twenty-Eight Mansions, which are part of the Chinese constellations system. They can be considered as the equivalent to the zodiacal constellations in the Western astronomy.

The star diagram in the background is extracted from the Suzhou Star chart, which was drawn by Huang Shang in 1193, according to the previous result of measurement on star position. The chart illustrated 1434 Stars grouped into 280 Asterisms in Northern Sky map.
